This policy explains how the Vinealto website uses cookies and similar technologies. Vinealto is a brand operated by Honest Glass Group Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17202326. We keep our use of cookies deliberately light.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site work properly and remember your choices. Similar technologies, such as the storage built into your browser, do much the same thing.
2. How we use cookies
We use only the cookies and browser storage the site needs to give you what you ask for: to keep you signed in, to carry your choices and any code through sign up, to bring you back to your page after an email link, to count your free Guide entries and pairings, to open the business pages and to remember your basket and your age confirmation. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Every cookie we set is our own, none is shared with anyone else, and the scripts on our pages cannot read them.
We count visits with our own simple counter, which sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. The code that counts your free entries is never used to count visits.

| vl_guest (cookie) | Set only when you open a Guide entry or a pairing, or begin a TasterPro tasting, without signing in. It holds a random code, linked to no name or email address, so we can give you two free Guide entries, two free pairings and three free TasterPro tastings before you create an account. 4. Managing cookies
Each cookie and each item of storage above is strictly necessary for something you have asked for, such as signing in, using a code or reading your free entries. The law does not ask for your consent to these, so we do not show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies and stored data through your browser settings: every major browser explains how in its help pages. Blocking them may stop you signing in, and parts of the site may not work.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
