The Restaurant Guide for Wine Lovers
Collinsons
We assessed Collinsons in July 2026 from the menu and wine list as they stood then. Dishes and bottles move on; how to drink well here changes far more slowly. We name bottles from the list we saw and say what to reach for by style, so the advice outlasts the list. Once you are seated, At the Table in the Vinealto app reads the list in front of you.
Collinsons is a long-established, family-run fine-dining restaurant in Broughty Ferry serving a refined seasonal set menu of modern Scottish cooking. Its wine list is classic and food-friendly rather than adventurous: a proper Champagne range, sensibly chosen French and Italian reds and whites, a house selection by the glass and a genuine run of dessert wines by the measure. It suits the diner who wants a dependable, well-matched bottle with a polished dinner more than the collector chasing the unusual.
The full assessment — the wine programme, the pairings that lift a plate, and how the room reads for a wine lover — is for subscribers.
