The Restaurant Guide for Wine Lovers

Franco's Restaurant

We assessed Franco's Restaurant in July 2026 from the menu and wine list as they stood then. Dishes and bottles move on; how to drink well here changes far more slowly. We name bottles from the list we saw and say what to reach for by style, so the advice outlasts the list. Once you are seated, At the Table in the Vinealto app reads the list in front of you.

Franco's is a long-running, all-comers restaurant in Enniskillen whose kitchen roams from Italian and Irish classics to Asian-spiced seafood. Its wine list is the stronger half of the partnership: genuinely deep in Italy, Rioja and Ribera del Duero and broad across the New World, if generic by the glass and short on the aromatic, off-dry styles the spicier dishes want. It will suit a drinker who comes for a good Italian or Iberian bottle with the steaks and lamb, and who is happy to keep to the dry, high-acid whites when the chilli comes out.

The full assessment — the wine programme, the pairings that lift a plate, and how the room reads for a wine lover — is for subscribers.
