The Restaurant Guide for Wine Lovers
Kudu
We assessed Kudu in June 2026 and this review is based on the food menu and wine list at the time of the review. As menus and wine lists change, we name styles in order for the information to remain more useful as menus change. If things have slipped you can use the Vinealto Dining app including accessing an up to date reading using 'At the Table' from the wine list in front of you in the restaurant. How we assess
Kudu is an open-fire braai in Marylebone serving modern European cooking with a South African accent, from a raw-and-grilled seafood bar to dry-aged native beef. The wine programme is a deep, almost-entirely-South-African cellar organised by flavour profile (from accessible Cape blends to the country's icons, with a Champagne and European-gem shelf and a complete Cape sweet-and-fortified corner) that mirrors the Cape-inflected kitchen closely. It will most reward a wine lover curious about South Africa who wants to drink a single country in real depth alongside proper fire cooking.
