The Red Cow is a town-centre gastropub in Nantwich cooking a broad British menu with an ambitious wine list behind it. The wine programme earns its standing on a thoughtful, wide-ranging buy — a curated by-the-glass shortlist for the everyday plates and a bottle tier with real interest, from a Chablis Premier Cru to a Médoc claret — let down only by the absence of any dessert or fortified wine and no stated vintages.
