The Cellar Door is a Modern European restaurant in central Durham with a monthly menu that ranges from oysters to beef Wellington. Its wine list is wide, well bought and generous by the glass, with fine bottles poured under argon and a strong sweet and fortified close. It will suit the curious drinker who wants to explore and is happy to ask for a pairing rather than find one printed on the menu.
