The Restaurant Guide for Wine Lovers
Bryn Williams at Theatr Clwyd
We assessed Bryn Williams at Theatr Clwyd in July 2026 from the menu and wine list as they stood then. Dishes and bottles move on; how to drink well here changes far more slowly. We name bottles from the list we saw and say what to reach for by style, so the advice outlasts the list. Once you are seated, At the Table in the Vinealto app reads the list in front of you.
Bryn Williams at Theatr Clwyd is a modern Welsh and French bistro inside the Mold arts centre, cooking local produce at accessible prices. The wine programme is a compact, thoughtfully ordered list that covers the menu competently and offers plenty by the glass, held back from more by its lack of any sparkling and a thin answer for the hardest fish plate. It will most reward the diner who wants a considered glass with a pre-theatre supper and is happy to be led by an unfussy, well-chosen list.
The full assessment — the wine programme, the pairings that lift a plate, and how the room reads for a wine lover — is for subscribers.
